Nextdoor - A better way to communicate!
The Rancho Lomas Owner's Association is now on Nextdoor. Nextdoor is a free, private social network for our community. It's a great way to share information and talk with neighbors. Trailer Parking Rules
In an effort to continue improving of our community, the RLOA board has amended the previously approved Trailer/RV storage rules for 2019. This amendment helps to clarify the storage and parking of Trailers and RVs within the RLOA community. Paying Association Fees
Rancho Lomas Owners Association has teamed up with HOAMCO to manage and process our association payments. The current association fee is $60.00/month and can be paid at any interval (monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.), as long as it is paid in advance of the due date. In addition to sending annual coupon books, HOAMCO offers several other convenient methods to pay association fees like eCheck Payments, One Time Credit Card Payments and an auto debit program. Please see the HOAMCO via their web site at www.hoamco.com for more information. Board Meetings
The RLOA board will hold it's monthly board meeting on the last Thursday of every month at 6:00 P.M, with the exception of September which is the Annual meeting and November and December as the board only meets during these months by exception only. This page will be updated if the schedule changes for any reason. Please contact the board if you would like to attend or have an agenda item for this meeting. The board meeting schedule for 2021 is scheduled as follows:
Agenda items for the monthly meeting will include: financial review, landscape maintenance and any new business. Meeting minutes will be posted as soon as they have been approved by the board and are made available. Good Neighbors
We all want the Rancho Lomas subdivision to be place that
everyone in our association and community can enjoy. With that in mind
the RLOA Board would like to offer a few friendly "good neighbor"
reminders that will ensure that our families and friends can continue to enjoy
the community.
Along these same lines, our community is uniquely suited for enjoying a walk with our pets. There is nothing better than an evening stroll to enjoy the majestic views and is a wonderful benefit of our subdivision. We would like to take this opportunity to remind pet owners to please respect their neighbors by cleaning up after their pets and using leashes when walking in the community. By being mindful of these few items we can ensure that we will all continue to enjoy our community. |
Attending Board Meetings
The board typically meets once a month for general board meetings. In some instances the general meeting may not be held in lieu of other general meetings such as the Annual Meeting. Additionally, some board meetings may be declared as Executive Sessions and thus attendance is restricted, per RLOA covenants and NM state HOA law, to just the board members. The Homeowners Association Act of 2013 identifies Executive Sessions as the only type of board meeting that is closed to the members of the HOA. An Executive Session can be used to discuss sensitive items such as pending or contemplated litigation, personnel issues or matters of a personal nature, such as the health of a member or financial issues. With the exception of the Executive Session, the Board meetings are always open to any member who would like to attend. Members are welcome to provide input on existing topics or introduce new topics and issues to discuss. The board asks that members who would
