Attending Board Meetings
Post date: Feb 10, 2014 8:3:7 AM
The board typically meets once a month for general board meetings. In some instances the general meeting may not be held in lieu of other general meetings such as the Annual Meeting.
Additionally, some board meetings may be declared as Executive Sessions and thus attendance is restricted, per RLOA covenants and NM state HOA law, to just the board members. The Homeowners Association Act of 2013 identifies Executive Sessions as the only type of board meeting that is closed to the members of the HOA. An Executive Session can be used to discuss sensitive items such as pending or contemplated litigation, personnel issues or matters of a personal nature, such as the health of a member or financial issues. Please visit our Homeowner Association Act page to find more information on this topic.
With the exception of the Executive Session, the Board meetings are always open to any member who would like to attend. Members are welcome to provide input on existing topics or introduce new topics and issues to discuss.
The board asks that members who would like to attend please send an R.S.V.P to the board at least three days prior to the meeting. Members can contact our property manager, HOAMCO, or send an e-mail directly to the board. Please use the information on the Contact Us page to let us know you'd like to attend.
We hope to see you there!
